We really must do something about this Charlene Nightengale matter. She is using the AMERICAN INDEPENDENT PARTY name on her webpage: http://www.nightingaleforgovernor.com/.

This must stop immediately!

I have had issues with Nightengale for several years. Back in 2006 when I was running for California govenor she and I clashed. Jim Gilchrist (AIP) endorsed Art Olivier for Governor instead of me. As you know I had a fit! Art Olivier was an OPEN BORDER person... but he did say "once they get here, deny them taxpayer benefits/services." This is hardly the type of politics that Jim Gilchrist, the president and founder of the Minutemen Project should be endorsing. Whereas, I was the ONLY CANDIDATE that endorsed SECURE BORDERS, and DEPORT ILLEGALS.

I wrote some damning correspondence to my campaign groups. Charlene Nightengale was then the Campaign Manager for Art Olivier. She chided me (via email) about my attacks against Jim Gilchrist. She said it was wrong of me to not agree with Gilchrist's endorsement of an OPEN BORDER candidate, her boss, Olivier.

This is the same Charlene Nightengale that jumped from LIBERTARIAN PARTY (2006) to Libertarian/REPUBLICAN (Ron Paul) (2008) and now she has slid into the cesspool with the mutineer fraction of the AIP. She is now buddy/buddy with Jeff Schwilk of the San Diego Minutemen. Schwilk endorses her Governor 2010 campaign 100% (see Schwillk's Nightengales endorsement on page:

I do not like a former campaign manager for a libertarian party candidate masquerading as an AMERICAN INDEPENDENT PARTY candidate. The reason I object, is that in 2000 Harry Browne, who was/is a die-hard OPEN BORDER fanatic ran for president and had Art Olivier as his running mate. Many of the problems that we now currently have with the hordes of 20,000,000 illegals overrunning our nation is a direct result of the former open-border campaigning of Browne and Olivier. Whereas Olivier may not have 100% endorsed the Libertarian party platform, but he still allowed the open-border debate to swing against the status quo.

While Nightengale may have founded the SAVE OUR STATE organization,  she destroyed any credibility of being a SECURE OUR BORDERS person by affiliating with the OPEN-BORDERS-LIBERTARIAN-PARTY. I say, "she who sleeps with the devil, wakes up the devil's slave."

I can only endorse Governor Candidate Markham Robinson who has not gone to bed with the OPEN BORDER CROWD as Nightengale has done.
